New painting by Laurie Landry – What’s done cannot be undone.

New work by one of Beaumont tenants

One of our resident artists, Laurie Landry has completed a new work.

What’s done cannot be undone.
(Corey Matthews as Lady MacBeth)

48″x36″ Oil on canvas.

This painting is part of a body of works called “The MacBeth Series”, to be exhibited at The Station House Gallery, in Williams Lake, where Laurie’s first solo show will take place. Laurie shares her unique appreciation of Shakespeare’s great theatre work, which is that of a deaf person. Like storyboards for a silent movie, Landry uses colour and texture to convey the atmosphere of a timeless story.

  • I love this piece. I’ve been watching it grow for the last few months. it is full of a lot of energy, more when you set real eyes on it through her studio window. almost haunting yet so alive with crazy.
